This sexy bareback top will steal the crowd when you arrive at the party! The stitches used create a stretchy textured fabric that fits your curves.
Materials: Erdal “Terry” – Color #2939. 164 yds/50gr. 7 balls
Size H Crochet hook.
Tapestry needle
Gauge: 24 stitches = 4 inches
24 rows = 4 inches
Medium size
Stitches used: ch, sl st, sc, knot st
Knot St instructions: * Draw up a ½ inch loop, yo, draw yarn through top of long lp, yo, insert hook between back loop of ch and the two front lps, yo, draw through a lp, yo, draw yarn through both lps on hook. For a complete knot st, rep from * then sc in top of lps on previous row, on both sides of the previous sc.
FRONT
Beg with ch 97.
Row 1: SC in second ch from hook and in each ch across, ch 1 turn.
Row 2: (This row is used for pattern.) Skip first sc, 2sc in next st. *Skip next sc, 2 sc in next st. Rep from * across. Ch1 turn.
Work in pattern until piece measures 10 inches. Do not ch 1 on last row worked.
ARMHOLE
Turn. Sl st over the next 3 sts. Skip next st and work in pattern to within the last 5 sts. Ch 1 turn.
Dec 2 sts every 4th row 2 times on each side. Work in pattern until piece measures 2 ½ inches from first dec.
SHOULDER STRAP
Work pattern over next 6 sts. Beg knot st row, work to within lat 6 sts. Work pattern to end of row. Ch 1, turn.
Next row: Work pattern over next 6 sts. Half knot st in first knot st. Knot st in each st to within last 6 sts. Work pattern to end. Rep this row until armhole measures 4 inches.
Next row: Work pattern across next 6 sts, ch 1 turn. Rep this row until armhole measures 7 ½ inches.
Attach yarn at opposite armhole and rep the last row. Fasten off.
BACK
Beg with ch 97. Work pattern st as for front until pc measures 10 inches.
BACK SHOULDER STRAP
Sl st over the next 3 sts, skip next st and work in pattern to with the last 5 sts. Ch 1, turn.
Dec 2 sts every 4th row 2 times on each side. Work even in pattern until piece measures 1 ½ sts from first dec.
{ *Work pattern over the next 6 sts. Turn. Rep from * until armhole measures 7 ½ inches. } Attach yarn at opposite armhole and repeat from { }. Fasten off.
TOP BACK AND FRONT EDGE
With right side facing, attach yarn at front corner where knot st row ends. SC evenly in ends of rows on straps and in each st across back. Fasten off.
ARMHOLE EDGE
With right side facing, attach yarn at underarm seam. SC evenly around armhole. Rep for opposite armhole. Fasten off.
BOTTOM BORDER
With right side facing, attach yarn at side seam. Work beg knot st and one row of knot st. Fasten off.
With tapestry needle, weave in ends.
